Click the picture above to watch the exclusive video of “A Hard Day’s Night”.
Back in November, we told you that Nickelodeon-crafted boy band would be covering four Beatles classics in their first TV movie, Big Time Movie, which they shot in Vancouver last fall. Now, we’re delivering you a little bit of that Big Time Rush-on-Beatles realness. Behold: A clip from the movie — which airs this Saturday, March 10, at 8 p.m. on Nickelodeon. The best part: The clip features the boys singing “A Hard Day’s Night.”
Big Time Movie finds the foursome — Kendall Schmidt, 20; Logan Henderson, 22; James Maslow, 21; and Carlos Pena, 22– landing in London to kick off their world tour just as they get caught up in a James Bond-style mission to save the world. Their bags are switched at the airport and the boys are stuck with a device that could end civilization, if it got into the wrong hands. The movie — just like the series — is full of action and even includes a special agent named Penny Lane, in a nod to the Beatles. “We’re calling this A Hard Day’s Night meets Austin Powers,” Marjorie Cohn, Nickelodeon’s president of original programming, told EW while the movie was filming last fall. “We’re doing cool and comedy and making it into a Big Time Rush caper.”
Big Time Rush will also sing the Beatles “Revolution,” “We Can Work It Out,” and “Help!” in the movie.
