How Did James Maslow's Big Time Rush Bandmates React to His Dancing With the Stars Gig?

James Maslow’s career doesn’t miss a beat. Coming off his successful Big Time Rush tour, the singer and actor jumped at the chance to try his hand–and feet–at something new by joining the season 18 cast of Dancing With the Stars.

“We’re done with the show [Big Time Rush] and we just finished our tour, and we don’t have another one scheduled at the moment,” Maslow said, “Dancing With the Stars is pretty much going to be my priority while I’m writing my solo album and working on the next project. Right now this is actually perfect timing.”
The 23-year-old opened up to Parade.com about his rehearsals, getting advice from Joey Fatone, and doing “something that my grandma’s going to be psyched about.”
