What Cover Girl is REALLY About

  • James: This next song is called "Cover Girl". Kendall wrote ‘Cover Girl’ for all those girls out there, that feel like they, like they’re not beautiful.
  • Carlos: And it doesn’t necessarily have to be targeted towards girls. Really just anyone who’s ever felt like they’re not beautiful.
  • Logan: Insecure people.
  • Carlos: Basically.
  • Logan: You are beautiful, gorgeous, stunning, the prettiest thing in the room.
  • Kendall: I see what you did there.
  • (Crowd laughs)
  • Kendall: Starting tonight, I want you to get out of here with a new mentality. To go home, look yourself in the mirror and say. “I’m beautiful.” And even if you feel like it’s not there, it is. As cheesy as that sounds. It’s inside of you. You just got to let it out. Stop wanting to be what you see in those magazines. Stop wishing to be that model on the runway. Stop watching TV and wanting to be that actress. Stop trying to be what society wants to shove down your throat.
  • Carlos: Be yourself. Because that’s the only thing that you can be.
  • James: Your identity is the most important thing you can own.
  • Kendall: So tonight I want you to forget everything. Forget all of your insecurities. I want you to reject anyone or anything that's ever made you feel like you don't belong, or you don't fit in, or like you're not good enough, or pretty enough, or thin enough, or can't make enough money, or sing well enough, or get an A on that test, or dance well enough, or write a song well enough, or you'll never fill a stadium. You'll never win a Grammy. You'll never have a number one record. You just remember that you're a god damn superstar! and you were born this way!
